Many people don’t know this, but your locks are comprised of multiple interlocking pieces that make everything work. These interlocking parts are called tumblers, and they are all tapped at various degrees before permitting the twisting of the lock.
The tumblers are all kept inside of this tubular area known as the core. When you call us about needing to fix your lock, often what we are replacing are the cores.

First of all, the most common service we are dealt with is core replacements. While these are the most popular and common parts for locks, they are also the most valuable. So with the cost of the core also comes the cost of our services to switch it out properly. But rest assured knowing that it will cost less than replacing the lock outright.
- Core Rekeying
The other service we will commonly do is core rekeying. When they send us a new core, it is up to us to change however you want the key to be . It initially comes with a blank slate until we program the tumblers to fall where we want. After we check the teeth of your key, we can mimic that key to the shape and form of the lock.
